Good Morning . Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless through our website. My name is Mike, and I understand that you would like to find out if loyal customers like your self would be able to grandfathered their Unlimited Data plans and I will assist you with that inquiry. I know how important it is for you to know if you can grandfather the Unlimited data plan. Below I have provided you with more information.
, please be aware that current customers that have the Unlimited Email and Web data plan which is also known as the Unlimited Data plan for $29.99 will be grandfathered the Unlimited Data plan.
Keep in mind that the changes that are coming in the near future about Tier data plans will not affect you unless you add a new line to your wireless account.
I also want to mention to you that all major wireless carriers will be offering the same billing strategy for data packages.
I hope the information I have provided you about the changes being made on the pricing for the data plans has been helpful.
I also wanted to take a moment to thank you for your exceptional history of prompt payments. You are an important and valuable customer, and your payment history is appreciated.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to assist you today. We appreciate your business and thank you for using Verizon Wireless. Should you have additional questions please reply to this e-mail.

Message Body: I am extremely upset to hear the news that Verizon is getting rid of their unlimited data plans next month. I have been a customer for several years, and this just may be the last straw. I have enjoyed unlimited data ever since getting my first smartphone, and since I use it for work, unlimited data is an absolute necessity. I read that any existing customers who renew their contract (i.e. upgrade their phone) will lose their unlimited data and be forced into a tiered plan. That is ludicrous. Anyone that has been a customer for so many years should be grandfathered in, whether or not they are upgrading their phone. First you take away one-year contracts and New Every Two, and now this. Rest assured we will be looking for a new cell phone carrier.
