Got mine Saturdat night
Phonescoop is late in reporting this. I got my update Saturday night.
...
Have you seen any change in your phone's performance?
Did you try the MiFi feature since the update? any improvements?
...
Not any real noticable difference. And yes the hotspot feature works now. Speeds while using the hotspot feature are the same as on the Droid Charge.
...
I got mine before the weekend. Downside is that my data speeds went to hell. So much so that Samsung tier 3 support is trying to figure out why. They've replaced my charge but still the same issue.
.3 Mbps down (constant) .6 Mbps up and that's on full 5 bar 3G. Funny thing is, I get the exact same speeds on 4G at RSW Airport under 5 bars 4G.
So Verizon is checking the area after Samsung's request and Samsung is trying to see if the EE4 update broke the radio on my charge as they said I am not the first with this issue. *sigh*
...
Damn dude I feel so sad for you! My 4G radio is working just fine, just a couple days ago I even got a whopping 35mbps. I live in Las Vegas. Which city is the RSW Airport?
...
That would Southwest Florida Regional Airport, in FT. Myers.
...
Well, I definetly wish you good luck with getting 4G back.
...
Well, they are having me replace my sim card and see if that is the isssue. If not, they will replace it or send it out for repair.
...
Woah!!! Send out for repair? Are they gonna give you a loner?
...
Do not know, they never said. It does seem like the sim card change is working as my speeds are up in the 1.1-1.4 Mbps range now on 3G.
I will wait and see.
...
So 4G is only available at the airport where you live?
...
Yep. Though the coverage map on Verizon does show a larger area for the 4G, including 4G overlay, no 4G phone picks up 4G anywhere outside of the airport area.
So 3G it is, for now. Still love the phone.
