For my part, I think that mobile payments are a solution in search of a problem, I've never heard anyone say 'man I wish I didn't have to carry this wallet around', and at any rate you are going to need to have driver's license and whatnot with you anyway, so it's like you won't actually still need to carry that billfold anyway...
