HP had a second change to make this right (by licensing the crap out of it), but they didn't. Sure, the hardware is impressive (The Veer is a very powerful phone, and its tiny!) and the usability of WebOS blows android out of the water, and perhaps even iOS...BUT....what really makes a platform successful is great apps.

WebOS has been a complete dud with both developers and consumers. Its a chicken or the egg with little faith on either side.

But I am still in shock that Nokia went with WP7 over WebOS...but knowing microsoft's tactics, they probably paid Nokia money instead of charging licensing fees.
