Whats the deal with this? For what reason are they willing to offer carrier billing for Brew apps but not Android?

I think I read a while back that Sprint has some carrier billed apps in it's market. Don't quote me on that.
I hope to Gawd that carrier billed apps never appear where I work. I don't provide support for those apps, so why should I be responsible for handling billing issues/disputes?

They are probably unhappy with Google's lack of security in purchasing apps, apparently you don't even have to enter a password to complete a sale. Who wants to deal with the ineviatable fallout when someone downloads $500 in apps that he said he didn't do and you don't have any way to verify if this was true or to prevent future purchases?
