Carrier IQ is scary stuff. But what's halarious is Sprint's response to customer inquiries about it.

While working Sprint Email escallations one of my coworkers got an email asking "What is Carrier IQ and why is it installed on my Samsung Epic?" She took it to her supervisor, who also didn't know what it was, and sent an internal Email asking some higher ups in the company how to respond. 15 minutes later a department wide popup message went out to everyone one in the building, it said:

"If you receive any Emails about Carrier IQ do not respond. All Emails should be forwarded to my office. - General Manger"

I still get a kick out of it.
