Hopefully these residents still have their phones after getting decimated by an EF5 tornado.
My prayers go out to all residents and victims families during this tragedy. ☚ī¸

A tasteless PR stunt? So what...when those people need to make funeral arrangements and check on family members and all that, you expect them to be charged for the minutes used? Cellphones are prob. the only real means of communication those with destroyed homes have, since you know...they have no more landline in their non-existant homes.

PR? People in an emergency are likely to use a lot more minutes than normal, and if they are out of work due to the tragedy they may be a few dayr or weeks late on a payment.....waiving overage charges and late fees is simply the decent and humane thing to do.

It would be nice if the other carriers would help out Joplin with some of this "tasteless PR stunt."
