Wow. I guess I hit a nerve. Are you friends with Paris personally? I don't mean to hurt your feelings. I never said she was stupid, I said she was shallow (no recorded history of DEEP thought, like, the opposite of shallow). And, I said no RECORDED history -- no proof. We have proof on video that she likes to record herself in bed (famous sex tapes that started her rise to such fame -- what an unfortunate "accident" for her), and that she would die of starvation if she ever had to do real work like the rest of us (The Simple Life, one more insipid surreality show to numb the minds of teenagers everywhere). There is, however, no proof that she is actually intelligent, unless, as you say, her "finding her own way to become famous" means she's smart. But, well, we already talked about how she did that. I guess that's smart; if we girls are gonna do it anyway, we might as well get paid for it, right?

I don't know one way or another about her intelligence, since I've never met her. What gets on MY nerves, however, is that our society mindlessly worships people who haven't accomplished anything that benefits OTHER people -- you know, like providing relief to starving children or war refugees, or stopping the spread of AIDS or domestic violence, or you know, behaving as a mature role model for young people if they look up to you for some reason. I don't hate Paris, I don't even know her, but I doubt she needs any kind of 'break' from anyone. She has our attention because she ASKED for it. That means people will judge her more than they do people who AREN'T willfully flaunting their glorious moral mediocrity in front of a million cameras. Seriously, if you MUST have a beautiful famous person to look up to, you might consider admiring Angelina Jolie. She actually contributes something to the world that matters (acting is a job, but her life shows what she's really about). I don't know her personally, either, so who knows what she's really like? But if actions speak louder than words, then she and I could have a great conversation about real life, which Paris clearly knows nothing about.
