Re: does anyone actually have the sk3 yet???
I like the volume and camera buttons on the outside (where the bumpers used to be); I think they are easier to push intentionally and also easier to avoid pushing accidentally. I don't like the camera, or maybe I just have the settings wrong, but it is hard to get a good shot to even see the difference from the old device.
I have a 512MB memory card in there and it holds a good number of mp3s and photos, so I am REALLY liking the expandable memory thing. I DON'T like how the back goes on and off (it doesn't open easily, which was maybe the only positive thing about my MDA), but I DO like that the memory card is inside (I almost lost it twice in the MDA when it hit something and popped out of the top). The whole thing feels lighter than the SK2, regardless of what the specs say. Maybe it is how the weight is distributed, I don't know. I haven't decided if that's good or bad.
Um...I like the default ring tones, but I wish the SK3 supported customizable tones. I DON'T like that the download fun catalog doesn't have much in it for the SK3 yet, but I'm sure it will. There are some cool new delivery features in the email, and the bluetooth was AWESOME for transferring my contacts from the MDA (which worked without the SIM, thankfully, so I could do that). Despite the specs saying there was no upgrade to the display, it seems clearer and brighter to me. Oh, one BIG improvement in my view is the scrollball left-right abilities in the email menu. Symbols were always a pain in the butt before, and writing emails in Spanish was a chore. Now, I just have to hit the symbol button and scroll left, right, up, or down very quickly and I can get to the accents I want very easily. That probably doesn't matter to most people, but it shows that the engineers did take details into account.
Overall, I am as happy as I thought I would be, because I knew what I would be getting. I can't think of any major cons, but it is the honeymoon period, so who knows? :-)
