to me its something that should have been there when the 2 was released. Also i dont see anything that indicates you are actually using EDGE data. Ive guess im not impressed anymore once i moved on to the MDA.Also tmo crippling the device making you buy there 4 sec ringtones led me to part ways with my lovely sidekick
I had an MDA and it did'nt work for me because it was slow and froze like a computer and the slider park was easy to break. I then got a sidekick 2 and it was the best. Look at it this way all the celebritys have a sidekick like Paris Hilton, Famous NBA players, Teen stars. No one really has an MDA.
Sidekick123, please help me save the world by making your own decisions and not just doing whatever the famous people do -- unless they are fighting hunger or war or cancer, or something else worthwhile, that is. Get a Sidekick because YOU like it, not because Paris does.
In my opinion, they changed what was absolutely necessary but intentionally kept it from competing with higher-priced phones that have everything. The have a good niche in the market with young people who probably aren't going to spend more than $300 for this device, and who are happy to have something new even if they aren't sure it's better. Not that I don't think it is better than before - I do -- but I think TMo knew what they were doing. They gave us some of what w... (continues)
It's callec 'milking' your customers. Danger knows if they had included a better screen and MMS there would have been ZERO reason to get a Sidekick 4. Which I can understand. But atleast PRICE this model accordingly. For the technology the Sidekick 3 is NOT worth $300!
If people paid $300 for the last one, then TMo knows they'll pay $300 for this one. I did; the keyboard layout is the best there is, and the OS is simple and easy to understand. It does everythig I need (messaging) very well, and the other stuff is just fluff to me. The phone quality is acceptable, and now with bluetooth my main complaint is resolved. $300 is cheap compared to other devices with such great all-around messaging abilities. I don't think it was too expensive, in the messaging phone context. But you hit the nail on the head exactly: if the sk3 had ALL of the things you wanted, there would be zero reason to get the SK4 when it comes along. TMo is not our buddy, it is big business, with shrewd marketing tactics. They know... (continues)
