T-Mobile Retools Its Plans

The new data plans are all unlimited.

The 200MB, 2GB etc. data plans T-Mo has rolled out are actually throttle points, not strict data caps. After those amounts, your speeds drop, but there are no overages on any of them.

That's not unlimited. It's "unlimited.*" It's like getting a Mustang that throttles itself to 55 mph after 100 miles of driving.

The point is, the fact that the limits are not actually hard data caps was not reported in the article.

Would you prefer it if they were hard caps?

So in other words we have one extreme or the other lol. We can either lie and say they are unlimited data plans or word it like it's a hard cap. I wish they would just make up some fancy marketing term and actually use it.... Oh wait they did... Seems like T-Mobile is just trying to confuse the heck out of the consumers. Although I will say I like the idea of throttling to avoid overages but in all reality it's not like they did that to benefit the customer lol
