Replying to: Typical Democratic Government by boggerscbshop May 17, 2011, 4:33 PM
Man if you think there is a difference between "Democrats" and "Republicans", you might want to look at the policies. There is no difference. They only try to fool you with the insignificant differences like gay marriage, abortion rights, social security. When you actually look at the policies that affect how our government is run, you see that both parties are big government, big spending, raise the national debt, pro war, pro drug war, and pro taxation. What most people don't realize is that a big chunk of this is because of the NeoCon movement. NeoCons are the majority of "Republicans" today. NeoCons started out as Democrats in the 40s and 50s. They changed parties and started running things. The real republicans have been since lost in the shuffle and now they are referred to in the media and by the political parties as "Libertarians". If that's the definition, then Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, Dwight Eisenhower, and even Thomas Jefferson were "Libertarians".
I think Ron Paul is the only chance we have at bringing back the constitution to our government. If we can do that, then we can start to figure out the rest of this nonsense.
