Actually, both Communist and Fascist regimes do it. Those are both totalitarian systems. Though I suspected that the location saving features were probably designed at the urging of government law enforcement agencies, I was hoping I would be proven wrong. However, this latest news in which the government actually admits that it wants those features, makes me wonder. Having watched a lot of TV crime shows, I already knew that law enforcement agencies can obtain cell tower data for given calls, so they don't really have the need for having location info also stored in a cell phone, except for two things: convenience and fishing expeditions.

Ah, political debates ... well, in this case total agreement. The Govt is supposed to be made up of the people and by the people. But, instead, it's the FCC, private banks, and greedy guys who really don't care about our well being. We are a dictatorship with the illusion of being free.
I wonder how many pedophiles are going to use this technology to their advantage? Or rapists? Or killers? Or Stalkers? I'd rather have a pedophile-killer-rapist-stalker know where I am than the Government. At least I can kick the PKRS's @$$

I agree with most of that. "True" communism is not like that. However, like any government, it's leaders are what make the policies. So, the result is that many of these "communist" countries are indeed fascist.

We're not a Capitalistic society as everyone thinks we are. We're not a communism or Marxist society. And we're not a fascist society. But, you're right in a way, we're far closer to being a fascist society than any other type, just not 100% there yet.

Ron Paul calls our society "Corporatism". And that very word is what Mussolini himself described as "Fascism".
