ALL FOR AT&T... THIS IS ODD IF I WERE T-MOBILE I WOULD WAIT UNTIL THIS MERGER GETS APPROVED OR NOT BEFORE THEY DO ANYMORE UPGRADES TO THEIR NETWORK... BECAUSE IF APPROVED AT&T WILL HAVE IT ALL...

They are two different companies, unless the buyout get approved.

Both companies have to carry on with their plans, like nothing is happening. If T-Mobile halted their plans to upgrade their network, launch phones, and rate plans, until an approval is given, they will be in worst shape than what they are currently in.

You don't see AT&T telling OEMs to make AWS supported HSPA+, and/or 700/AWS LTE devices now. They don't own anything yet.

If AT&T isn't allowed to acquire T-Mobile USA, they automatically get free money, as in $3 Billion dollars and more spectrum.

Uh, they HAVE to upgrade no matter what. I don't understand your confusion.

UGGG!!! Do you understand what this whole at&t t-mobile merger is?? It will take a LONG time for this to get approved...about a year IF this even goes through. Do you expect t-mobile just to lay on its back and just give up and wait?? Both company’s are still competition with each other and Verizon and sprint. If t-mobile decided to just stop making there service better you think its customers will be ok with it? I mean like ¼ of its customers are pissed already because of the talk about the merger but to just stop… that would be stupid

Why not? By accepting AT&T's offer that's basically what they are doing anyway. This is just a slow death. Let the bleeding of subscribers begin.

It's interesting that I still see ads for T-Mobile mocking AT&T.

If T-Mobile did "wait until this merger gets approved or not," I'm pretty certain that would void any and all contracts with AT&T. AT&T has already admitted indirectly that it's cheaper to buy T-Mobile than to build/expand it's own LTE network. Any attempt by T-Mobile to sit on their ass would be met with lots of litigation their parent company doesn't want.
Secondly, I'd imagine the FCC would have something to say about that. It's probably 8 kinds of illegal.

I definetly see your point. ATT wants to use Tmobile's 1700mhz spectrum for LTE, and they have stated they will dismantle tmobile's HSPA+ and move customers to their own 3G(pseudo 4g) network which runs at 850/1900mhz . Why is T-mobile building something that ATT is going to scrap???
