Now, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure smart phone users want a bit more than just "dependability".
Countless other phones are dependable and very well built, ontop of being more aesthetically pleasing and being able to outperform a Blackberry any day of the week in both hardware and software.
The crowd they end up making happy is the crowd that wants a keyboard, or at least that's all I see them pleasing anymore.
