I used FaceTime on my iPhone 4... I just love it so easy to use... all u do is call someone and tap the FaceTime icon... it's easier than all that fringe and qik stuff... even tho u have to be in a wifi zone it's sill great to use... I think FaceTime is the easiest video chat ever...

Unfortunatly we live in a world where people consider text messaging and facebook to be socializing, rather than face to face or voice to voice. Very, very sad world.

Video Chat is absolutely horrible on 3G. Too pixelated and voice drops out. Actually pretty annoying. Using it on 4g is much better and WiFi is the best. I'm not sure of iPhone's Face Time, but I have friends that downloaded Tango to their iphones and ipods. It works just fine when chatting with Android. Tango is pretty easy to set up. I use it on my Evo.

If it was *real* video chat it would wwork on any network tech not just wifi. Everybody seems to think wifi is everywhere, it may be in a lot of places but it's not always unsecured, and it's not always free.

I'm glad that Google made this so that it will work on 3G & 4G so people don't have to be a prisoner to a wifi network.

I have an iPhone 4 on Verizon and I can video chat all I want over 3G. It's just AT&T that sucks.

Not bad actually - things do get a little pixelated sometimes though. Voice quality is still fine though.

It works good for me. I use Tango over Verizon's 3G network. Since Verizon's network is consistently reliable it handles the data better. On AT&T it worked good during low congestion but during peak hours it had lots of lag and video cut outs.

Verizon's network reliable? What, are you some advertisement or something? Cause in the --real world-- Verizon's network drops from 3G to 1x quite a bit.

Well I can't say that never happens. In weak areas it does sometimes drop to 1x, but in stronger areas I have a great connection. Most places in the city where I live is usually strong. AT&T is strong here too but I left them because their network wasn't consistent. I haven't dropped one call with Verizon since switching back. AT&T dropped more calls and lost speed during peak hours. At a concert where hundreds of people were all in one place AT&T was practically useless. Even though Verizon is a little slower it handles video calls pretty good.
