VZW is not one to issue credits though, however, for this case, I'm sure they will.

I'm sure they'll be happy to prorate their $30 data plans by the 1 day of service outtage. Have a $1 credit everyone!

🤣 Yeah, I bet that's exactly what they'll do but you take $1 for a few million customers and thats money.

That's for those customers who actually call and complain.

i wouldn't believe a credit will be given adn is not nessary. people who call in and complain about small issues like this don't have a life. VZW honestly fix the problem in 1 day. that should let the customer know they do care and worry bout issues concerning their network and keeping everyone happy. now if it took longer then yes a credit would be good. i hate people who complain about simple things.

It would technically only be the HTC Thunderbolt customers. Everyone else backed up onto 3G. The Thunderbolt isn't cross compatable due to some known issue or something like that.

Go to http://nokiafanboy.com/2011/04/04/htc-thunder bolt-4g-tips-and-tricks-how-to-solve-3g-conne ctivity-issue/

and you can change settings on your Thunderbolt so that it handles the hand-off between 4G and 3G correctly.

The handoff is something Verizon should have sorted out
-BEFORE- launching LTE 5 months ago.

Actually Vzn has 500,000 LTE customers. Not a "few million".

That was PRECISELY what I always wanted to say whenever customers complained about outages and demanded credits....but usually the outage wasn't for a day, it might be for a couple of hours.....

I always wanted to say 'okay, you pay $30 a month for the data plan, that is $1 a day, it was out for 8 hours, that makes 1/3 of a day, so you are entitled to exactly 33 and 1/3 cents in credit....but I'm generous, I'll give you 34 cents....'

🤣

Big freaking deal that 4G LTE was down for a day. It's not like it's available everywhere or a lot of people are using it. 3G was up and running normally. It's not like the whole network just went into 1x RTT mode for 24 hours.

Its not like their customers didnt have no data services. People still could have connected using VZW's 3g network.

Ya know, defecation happens, it happens to all carriers, things go amiss now and then. So what. Its back up and move on. I applaude VZW for getting LTE up and running. And I don't even use them.
