Sprint has as much right to the documents regarding this merger as any other American citizen. It is the FTC and the FCC's job to protect the American competitive market, prevent monopolies & duopolies, and ensure that such transaction will not negatively impact the competitive market or the American consumer. The same reason AT&T was divested in 1984.

Information partaining to the merger, yes. Information partaining to specific inside information concerning AT&T's business timeline, plans for the release of acquisitions and/or market changes, plans to match rates or absorb business structure from T-Mobile and other inside information which I'm sure Sprint has asked for...Not so much. They wouldn't just blanket a general hold on the information unless Sprint was trying to force them to release information concerning company sensitive information.

This merger if approved will catapult AT&T to over 130 million subscribers almost DOUBLE Verizon's subscribers and nearly triple Sprint's. It will create a Monopoly of the American GSM services which will allow AT&T to dictate handset technology and stifle the creation of new technology if at&t does not feel it is beneficial to their business plan.m and most of all ALL competitors of At&t not just Sprint but all the ma and pop rural carriers will have to pay more to at&t to maintain roaming agreements. This merger isn't a fatal blow to competition but its the beginning of the end for the American consumer in the wireless marketplace.

You all talk as if pushing for CDMA will result in huge growth and expansion! You do realize that if T-Mobile is sold to a CDMA carrier, it will be phased out, thus creating...a monopoly on GSM carriers! Holy cow!...

It would really be a grand day, if everyone would set their differences aside, act like adults and realize the magnitude of negative impact this merge will have on the market in this country.

You realize thats why Sprints lawyers signed confidentiality agreements. They would see if there was any pertinent info, and only then would sprint actually see it. Which is a completely fair request.
