Many Issues, not to many resolutions

I waited monthes for the Q, I have been a Nextel customer for almost 6 years, through the good and the bad. But I wanted a Smartphone, cooler and maybe sexier than the pack of smart-bricks that slow you down and dont allow you to type using at LEAST 26 keys. The Palm based units lack the familarity of the windows mobile units, as well as the usual features.

I had this phone for a week, it's in the box waiting for Fedex, and My 7100i is back online and I am back with Nextel. I found my blackbeery to be the best phone I had ever used, but it lacked the flexibility and multimedia that does come in handy, even in business situations.

The Q was small, a bit wide, but so thin and a real attractive phone. it had some really great features...

I love how all New Yorker's think there time is somehow more valuable than the rest of the countries...that's neither here nor there.

IT'S A PHONE...calm down. It's not going to hold your hand. The Q has been a great phone so far. I too work for a corporation and this phone works equally as well as any smartphone I've had. Guess what? I still make big dollars with out the precious cut & pastse feature that the princess above is speaking about. Now, is it the best, No. However, does it do pretty much everything every other Smartphone will do? Yea. Plus, a much better multimedia experiance than a Bberry? Yup.

All that said, most importantly, YOU CAN'T EVEN FEEL THIS THING IN YOUR POCKET!!! Thats the beauty if it my friends. I cant str...

Thanks for the honest review and personal experience. I will take what you said into consideration as I wait for further reviews of this phone to appear in leading publication and websites.

And Jmart...take a powder. Are you so small minded? Are you sleeping with your Motorola products that you feel a need to defend them? Does Motorola pay you to post immature comments and waste space?

The Jeffola was relating his experience. People like Jmart are why we have illegal wiretapping and Bush in office...because they want things their way. No room for others in their lives or minds.

Looks that the small minded is somewhere else...Briansnj
Just because a product did not meet your expectations, that doesn't mean that is a piece of garbage...not to say something else.
Jmart is just sharing his personal experience, just as you and Jeffola. If he has a great experience with Motorola products, and you don't...is not his fault.
I have experience on this industry, specially on the Tech support area....and many times (and I'm not saying that is your case..), is not a product problem, it is a USER PROBLEM...like the people that buy things just because " it looks cool", and they don't investigate before purchasing, and even worst, they actually don't read the manual...and if something didn't work...." the damn thing is defectiv...

Very unbiased concerning brands, carriers, etc...I have few issues with my blackberry 7250 (RIM) and treo 650 (palm of course), but decided to upgrade to the Q phone and it has a lot of issues. Nothing to do with manual reading or understanding the functionality...it just crashes. I thought I had a bad device to had a new one sent to me and in a couple of days it locked up too. device.exe or while seeing the incoming call message you can't answer the phone. sometimes while dialing out...it just hangs. at this time you have limited use of the pda but no phone service until you reboot. cut and paste should be there...it isn't...try copying a phone number...try selecting text in an email. try copying email address...(good link which is a...

I had the same problem. The was perfect on day one. It gradually started having issues. The phone got worse the more I added media to the device. Video, pix, Mp3, etc. I moved all the media from the phone to the external memory. The phone hasn't locked up at all. Its been a week. Try it and let me know if it works for you or if I got lucky.
