The law is the law....
Sprint want current law to be applied to the situation. Nothing more. There is not a precedent for this kind of consolidation, and the legality of it is a big question. T Mo knows this, and that is why they required such a big payment if the deal does not go thru. To think that it's only Sprint questioning the deal is crazy. They would be better off with T Mo around. They want to compete. But when over 80% of customers are with 2 companies, it's not a fair use of the PUBLICLY OWNED airwaves. This isn't like selling cars. This is an industry based on the lease of publicly owned assets, therefore, subject to a reasonable amount of public interest oversite.
