Got that right! Both the Thunderbolt & Droid Charge are all touch. So much for providing choice in the market! It seems like anything that matches what I want isn't coming out anytime soon. An LTE smartphone with a real, physical, slideout keyboard!!!!!! And on my next smartphone I really, really want one of the new tech displays, whether it's Super AMOLED, Super LCD, or LG's Nova.

Good luck finding a new phone with a slide out keyboard. Just like the VCR, and audio tapes (DVD's are on their way too) the phone with slide out keyboard is becoming out dated (Unless you want t-mobile's new Sidekick) . I was forced into an all touch screen because I wanted better.

There is still a market for real keyboard smartphones. There are still people who want them.

So what did you end up getting then?

I'm not ready to upgrade til November anyway, so I'll continue to wait.

There's still a market for people wanting a smartphone without a data plan, and we all know how well that particular market is catered to.

It's just really fruatrating that 2 LTE smartphones in a row on Vzn, including the Droid Charge are both all touch. Whatever happened to choice, selection. Isn't that what a good business does? Offer choice?

Well, I guess the longer it takes the better specs it will have when it finally does come out. Hopefully a better battery than 1500mah.

🤣

That's a different beast. It's one thing to say "We're not going to give you something for nothing." It's a totally different thing to say "I don't care what YOU want. I will TELL you what you want and you will damned well like it."

There is still a market for DVD's and tape decks, and VCR's too, but that don't mean that they are going to keep producing them until people don't want them anymore.

I ended up with a galaxy S 4G. It is a good phone, and I love the screen, but I still miss my keyboard... lol

The entire network by 2013, I don't recall which part of 2013, but I read it somewhere.

I betcha by the time ATT finally does get LTE up and running that their LTE will be faster because of the HSPA+ backhaul. But of course smartphones will remain useless with their measly data allowance.

Why would they spend the money when they can just jack Verizon's LTE and take their sweet time building their network out in the more important urban markets? Thanks to mandatory data roaming...

Better grab u a unlimited data bc both AT&T and VZW are looking towards caps on the data. Unlimited will be a myth.

I believe it's live in more cities than whats actually been announced. For example, there are areas in Salt Lake City that have 4g. In fact, my account manager told me that some of the data guys were doing tests on the Thunderbolt while driving down I-15 and they were getting speeds in excess of 30mbps!!!!!!! That's impressive for a city thats not offically "live"
