i never liked sense!
i always replaced it with Launcher Pro.
have you tried Launcher Pro?

I personally really like the look of Sense but with how much it impedes performance (at least in its stock state) I have grown to hate it. Although on a rooted phone with an optimized Sense based ROM it can run very well. Launcher Pro is a nice alternative, I also really like Go Launcher EX. That is what I'm currently using due to some issues that Launcher Pro has with the current ROM I am using (Launcher Pro is a little laggy at times on my ROM but that is an issue that it seems to have with Cyanogenmod 7 based ROMS only, I haven't had any problems with it on any other ROMS I have tried.) ADW is another launcher option although in general that one is not considered to perform quite as well as the other 2 I have mentioned but I have had good...

Good info. I'm going to look into those too. I'm ok with HTC sense. I just don't like the fact that my phone is brand new but I won't be able to get the update.

I don't think that HTC has pushed an update for Sense to any phones that were currently on the market when they came out with the newer version (I could be wrong here though.) I know they have pushed minor updates for Sense along with OS updates, but not to new version of Sense to my knowledge. I know it definitely sucks that you just got your phone and wont be seeing the update, that is one of my personal gripes about HTC (along with overly difficult root access on newer phones.) At least the Inspire is a nice phone without the update though. I still have my Eris and I don't think I would have been able to keep it this long without rooting. With a phone like the Inspire I think I could deal with having the phone for 2 years and keeping it s...
