First of all you assume that the deal is going to be approved. Second once you sign a contract, if anything is changed in the contract that you agreed upon, you have 30 days to get out of it without having to pay the cancellation fee. If you don't want to sign a contract, they are also offring even more plus for $59.99

This why they will grandfather plans as long as you don't upgrade with a new phone. Many people including me kept their old At&t wireless plans when they merged with Cingular.I know people that have Cingular plans from day 1 as well as the Nextel plans with free incoming.
