Its complete bs. Makes me want to leave VZW. I get a new phone every year. When I heard that i couldnt do a early upgrade at the one year mark i was pissed and I called and complaIned and they said I could do a one year contract. I asked how much the iPhone is on a one year contract and it is $700 something dollars. They are smoking crack. Even AT&T isn't doing that to me. I carry a iPhone on at&t and a dinc on verizon. Was planning on dropping at&t but now not so sure. I can take my $400 monthly phone bills all to at&t. I have called in and went into the stores several times to complain. Everyone needs to do the same.

And just so some smart dumb person (troll who dosnt have anything else to add to the convo other then pointing out things in the post) doesn't come and comment, two phones don't add up to that amount. I have other family members on my plans.

You realize that nobody in the store actually gives two sh*ts if you come into the store and complain. The guys in the store can't change policy, have no connections to anybody that can change policy and are quite frankly, just trying to earn a paycheck so they can pay their bills

If you truly have such a problem, make your displeasure known with your wallet, but don't give other people a hard time over something that is ENTIRELY OUTSIDE OF THEIR CONTROL!

Haha, I figured you would be the one to reply. I thought store managers have bosses. Guess they don't report to anyone. Enough people complain it will work it's way up. I also sent a email to corporate. Have yet to get a response. Pretty poor that they can't even respond to it.

Let me start by saying that i think i overinflated that a bit in my head. When i read your op i thought that you were telling people to go into the store and throw a hissy fit. Those type of actions get much less of a response than a reasonable complaint.

My response was bred from an idea of its not fair to take your frustrations out on a person who doesn't make the rules, just enforces them.

A reasonable complaint is something different though, and if you want to try from the ground up, then by all means go ahead. Just don't take too much of the salespersons time (their time is money) and don't go out of your way to ruin the average store employees day.

The best way to get your point across though, is indeed with your walle...

I know that the low level employees neither make the rules and do they care or want to here it. I TALKED to the manager and stressed my dislike for this rule. I was nice about it. He said he understood and that they have had other complaints about the change. I called in and talked to lady who said that she did not like the change. I also wrote a email to corporate letting them know that I disliked this change. I didn't go in to the store guns ah blazing. Sorry if you took it that way.

You're absolutely right! The only reason they are eliminating MOST of the perks they gave us, is because became too big for their owh good and we are what made them big. I've been a loyal customer for 7 years. A BIG parrt of the reason is due to the great perks they gave. Now that they no longer do that, they don't need my money

Ever thought of contacting your congressional representative and/or your state's PUC (that's Public Utilities Commission) regarding this matter?
