Why don't they ever put flash on these phones?

Does it really add to the price that much?

You mean a camera flash right? Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I could never understand SamSUCK honestly.

They put a Super AMOLED screen and a camera flash on the Craft (first LTE phone for MetroPCS) charge $299 for it and it's a DUMB phone. Meaning no Android, WP7, etc.

BUT...

Months later they come out with the Galaxy Indulge. Another LTE phone but this time it's an Android device. They take away the Super AMOLED screen and take away the camera flash and have the audacity to charge $100 more than the Craft! Go figure 🙄

Any galaxy s phone on a REAL carrier is in the 500-600 dollar range without contract. The fact that they're offering something even CLOSE for 179.99 is a freakin giveaway. I'm sorry that the poor metro customers don't get everything for nothing but, that's the way the cookie crumbles. If you want a GOOD phone, ante up and flash an epic or a fascinate, or go to a post paid carrier. 🙂

Except its not a Galaxy S class phone. Its a Galaxy. That is the big difference. Nowhere does it say this thing is a Galaxy S phone.

These phones are built to the carriers specs. It's not Samsung.... It's Boost that opted to not have it to save a buck and make a larger profit.

If you mean an LED camera flash:

A crappy one is very cheap, but useless.

A good flash is actually a bit of cost. Not huge, but they look at everything when trying to make a really affordable phone like this one. Anything for prepaid - where you're paying full-price for the phone up front - is extremely cost-sensitive.

If you mean Adobe Flash, yes, that requires a more powerful processor, and that does make the phone more expensive.
