Photos Don't Match- Top Buttons Different?

MegaBit

Okay, which picture is really the V710?

The home page story with the two smaller photos shows a top row of buttons that are "squared off" for the lack of a better term. In the details page, the buttons have angles to them radiating out from the navigation rocker button.

So- which picture is the actual phone and which one was/is a mock-up?

Did they make a custom keypad for Verizon?

Both versions were in the FCC documents. One was obviously an earlier prototype. The all-white one with the "square" soft keys is almost certainly the earlier version. The final look seems to be the other one, with the keys styled more like other recent Moto phones (V600, V300, V220, V180, etc.)

The earlier one is shown here in this news brief simply because it is the first one I found when I was trying to get the news out.

Both photos are valid in the context of something that hasn't been announced yet - the styling could change yet again by the time it is announced or hits the market.

Thanks, Rich.

I'll take one either way...as long as they can deliver it!

This one appears to solve the antenna in the camera lens issue on the V810 and certainly causes a dilemma: Should I go for the V810 when it comes out or wait for this one? Since I liked the V60 so much the V710 is a closer match but I can only imagine it won't be available for 8 to 10 months. Bluetooth is a major feature on a CDMA handset I've been waiting for.

May have to settle for both.

Do you have the link to the FCC document or can you tell us how to get there? I'm curious to see it. Thanx!

On the V710 page, click the FCC ID number.

Yes. In the first "RF Exposure Info" document, go to page 105 in the PDF (says "Page 29" at the bottom). 🙂
