...has already indicated that his company would be interested in acquiring any divested markets/assets."

Not a snowball's chance in hell.

Item number one: Any divestitures cannot be to Verizon Wireless. These guys have been doing this *Bleep* with the last few deals they have completed. No wonder Verizon is all for this going through.

It is comparable to vultures flying in circles in the sky waiting ever so patiently for the dying carcass to expire. 🤤

What has Sprint's CEO said about divested markets? Are they even going to make a play for them or just sit there expecting AT&T to dump them in their laps?

Sprint is in no way suffering for spectrum, and thats why you've heard nothing about them picking at the leftovers of Alltel, and wont hear of them picking up any Tmo leftovers. Even at their peak (66 million subs) they were comfortable with the spectrum they own.

Wow, Sprint has shrunk that munch over the past 5yrs?!!!?

What exactly is Sprint down to now? 48m?

Well, it wasn't until just recently that Sprint stopped bleeding and had it's 1st positive qtr in a very, very long time.

The 3rd & 4th qtr's will be interesting to see what the EVO 3D can do for Sprint.

Well hopefully they'll continue the positive trend, and hopefully the industry forward moving EVO 3D will help Sprint. They better market the heck out of it though! And they should start marketing it 2wks before they start selling it.

If sprint does'nt do something they are going to keep falling behind. I am glad sprint's numbers are up but verizons are up way more then sprint could even dream about. So if sprint thinks just sitting back and having gains in their subs is all it's going to take to catch up then they are going to be in for a surprise. I feel you have to seize every chance you can get to get a leg up for the future and that moment is now for sprint so don't waste it.

I certainly hope Sprint has a plan here that they just aren't mentioning. We all know that Verizon is just waiting for the divestitures to happen and they have the money to pad the pockets of anyone that tries to stand in their way. I have no doubt that if this deal does go through and there are divestitures that Verizon will end up with a large portion of the spectrum if not nearly all of it.

I personally hope that none of this goes through at all. I would much rather see Sprint get T-Mobile (and I personally really dislike Sprint.) I can't see anything good coming from Verizon or AT&T getting ANY of T-Mobile's spectrum. They are large enough as it is. If we are going down to 3 major carriers I would much rather have 3 relatively equal ...

Maybe GE will get into the wireless business. That way Obama's fcc can just give the divested market to them. What a joke this will all be when verizon get 90% of the divested markets.
