To be totally honest, I am sort of found of the chaotic, different sized widgets..there is something about the asymmetry that catches my eye.
I dislike how iOS is just a bunch of tiles and really hate how webOS and BlackBerry waste so much screen space with a theme photo and only have a little launch bar at the bottom.
Symbian is not as bad as so many ppl make it out to be. I played with an N8 for a week and was *this close* to keeping it and parking my Nexus One. I had not used any Nokia since 2004 and within a day it felt like 2nd nature.
The only factor that caused me to return the N8 was the push mail- it was very slow. sometimes within a minute, but sometimes delayed 40+
