loosing faith in Sprint by the minute...

I'm sorry but I am loosing faith in Sprint and their bozo CEO, Dan Hesse. As a former Sprint employee I hate to see Sprint falling apart but they seriously need to lose Hesse as CEO.

First, Sprint started the acquisition frenzy a few years ago with their purchase of Nextel, which was one of the worst mergers ever, and one that they have never recovered from. Next, Verizon buys Altel and we don't hear a peep from Sprint about unfair to competition. Then, they attempt to acquire T-Mobile and fail (which would have been a bigger blunder than the Nextel merger) but then they cry foul when AT&T buys T-Mobile which uses the same technology and actually makes sense!! Sprint is crying because they, yes THEY, screwed up but don't want others to be...

1st. I'm getting tired of these flame news about this merger, brings the worst out in all of us. And honestly I think 5 or so similar topic blogs is more then enough and lets move on to something else. Everyone knows about this merger, everyone knows Sprint is pissed from day one.

Now, I think Dan Hesse has done quite a bit to improve Sprint, he had nothing to do with the Nextel merger. They would have been better off trying for US Cellular or something. But, I do agree, worry less about this merger, worry more about improving service and perception about Sprint. I recently did a Wikipedia search on carriers throughout the world. Most nations, 1st world nations had three then four major carriers, not talking about MVNO's. Sprint d...

Whew! That's a relief! As long as YOU are confident that prices won't increase, I suppose I can just stop worrying about it.

"AT&T is a cash cow and have enough income from their landline business that they funnel back into their wireless business so it isn't exactly like they are hurting for cash and need to reflect it back into their rate plans to pay for T-Mobile."

Oh yeah! I forgot how profitable the land line business is these days. What was I thinking, figuring that it was actually wireless which carries these companies. Of course, EVERYONE has a land line and these cell phones are just a fad that will pass. And AT&T would NEVER pass the cost of an acquisition of how much is it again? THIRTY-NINE BILLION DOLLARS on to co...

maybe not landlines but they have enjoyed MUCH success with uverse and att dsl. att has been around for a long time bud, they are old money, have plenty of it and know how to make more. i honestly dont see rate plans increasing at all.

in fact in the past 3 months i have seen more improvement to att's offerings then i have in the past 4 years i worked for them. They now offer a list which works a lot like the "my faves" t mobile has/had. they have mobile calling to any wireless carrier. not to mention they are greatly expanding on their smartphone selection and not just relying on the iphone.

i personally think there are some cool things ahead for att customers.

Smartphones on ATT are absolutly useless because of that measly, and I do mean measly 2GB data cap.

I use an LG Ally on Verizon and my last billing cycle used 5.3gigs. Can't do that on ATT, and if I did it would be way, way, too expensive.

Smartphones on ATT are absolutly useless!

that's one man's opinion, and you are entitled to it. as someone who sees what we call "the average smartphone users" bills every month i would say that you are one of VERY FEW people who use their smartphone that way. and for you, verizon is a better choice. but not everyone uses a smartphone in that fashion. and for those people, i believe att chose a lesser of two evils. eliminate unlim data and piss off a few heavy users, or keep it and piss off the other 80 mil people who want to use their phones too.

I don't get why people pay $30/mo for data and only use, what, like 400mb's, isn't that what a report said is average for Android smartphones? If someone is going to get a smartphone and only use 400mb's/mo and pay $30/mo I don't think it's worth it to them to to have a smartphone. You can get home internet for $30-$40/mo.

These wireless bills are very, very expensive, and I intend to get my monies worth.

Your opinion loses all credibility just for thinking Dan Hesse has been anything but good for Sprint. Even ppl who hate Sprint acknowledge the only reason for their turn around has been his policies and the ppl he's put in charge.
