AT&T doesn't need T-Mobile, it wants T-Mobile...a key indicator for me that this deal should not go through. If this does happen, and Verizon eventually buys Sprint, I will be forced to go back to a basic flip from from all the limits they have on data. I use a few gigs a month fairly easily.

Verizon can't buy Sprint unless Sprint sell's.
I'm not happy about the whole thing but i don't think Sprint can stop it. I'm convinced one way or another at&t will get this to go through. It sucks but, i just keep hoping this merger will some how be a good thing in the end.

I def hear you, but along the way, if sprint can't compete on it's own, i think it will agree to sell. This whole AT&T deal would be a cluster F. Def a step in the wrong direction.

Sprint could never compete anyway. There is a reason why AT&T and Verizon have 90+ million customers and don't give me the jazz about mergers and acquisitions. Even without them AT&T and Verizon would be far ahead of Sprint.

But yes there is a reason why Sprint has far less customers than the big two and that is because they more or less suck. They lowered prices and got better phones and yes they have seen some turnaround. While I don't blame this entirely on their current management, I just feel that the dama...

Because LTE wasn't ready and they had to use the spectrum...

At least that's the story I've been told by Sprint philes. Where have you been that you never saw it?

1) Nextel offers the only walkie talkie service, push to talk isn't comparable. For business customers with a lot of workers that is the only viable choice.

2)AT&T is absolute garbage the only reason they need this is because they have no coverage. Forget the fact that sprint's wimax blows them away or the phones blow them away or the plans blow them away. The fact is with at&t you can't make a phone call. Good luck taking a trip.

3) at&t's a bunch of nazis and the iphone/home bundles were the only reason they got so many customers

Yes, the Trailer Parkers and Mullets heads couldn't agree with you more.

I don't have much of a problems, and my speeds approach the non-existent WiMax in my area. Get a signal everywhere I've been. You might have had a point a few years back.

Dude u have no idea what the F you are talking about. Sprint was mandated by the government to use the spectrum by a certain time and Wimax 4G was ready to go the soonest. And it can easily be transitioned to LTE. Verizon had a failed push to talk as well. Sprint has been adding customers as of late. You sound like a ruh-tard

Are you serious! Verizon itself only exist because of mergers and buyouts. All of the wireless carriers are at their present size because of mergers. Before the AT&T merger Sprint was closer in size to Cingular and to the old AT&T. Same for VZW before they bought Altell. Yes Sprint chewed up the Nextel merger. When the bought them the had a little over 60 million customers nextel was at around 20 million subs no they are about 8 million. Read some actual statements by Hesse and you will see at this time WiMAX and Clearwire are not getting dumped and Sprint is not running the show at Clear. They have hinted at running WiMAX and LTE together. The have 850 and 900 mhz spectrum they use for iden. Yeah Sprint has a lot to straighten out and it is...

Then I'm glad that it was not your decision to make. Someone has to take a stand. Sprint is going to have very hard sledding if they just lay there and take it. I say at least struggle before AT&T and Verizon double team them.

Oh i agree...good for sprint for standing up to the man. Heck I've been a t-mobile rep for the last 2 years. I love the company and I love the paychecks. I still have heard no word as to whether or not ill keep my job ☹️ So I'm not for this merger by any means..
However, I do still believe at&t will get this pushed through. I hope I'm wrong about this; but, i don't think i am.

I hope you do keep your job, and you sir, have the most to lose and best bitch against this. Might disagree, but you have my respect and I hope if it happens, it works out for you. I don't want to see anybody losing a job.

Synergies. Count on it. They're not ponying up thirty-nine billion to keep redundant positions in the unified entity.
