International Roaming for Travelers From Overseas
This would give AT&T a MONOPOLY over foreign travelers coming to the US. AT&T would be the only GSM nationwide carrier. Most of the world operates on GSM, so this would not only be bad for the US, but for the entire world.

more research needs to be done though. let's think about it. if someone travelled over here, their international provider would have roaming agreements with at&t or t-mobile, probably both. at&t is buying t-mobile, and the current terms of the deal give t-mobile an 8 percent share in AT&T. if this deal goes through, t-mobile will be making more money from at&t than they probably would have off of just international roaming charges on their network right now.
but if you're implying that international travellers come over here and purchase a sim card for their phone to work in the US for an extended period of time, yes I suppose they will have one less post-paid choice. but how many people get a post-paid account for temporary use? you wou...
