Hands-On with Wireless Charging Phones for Verizon
I look forward--
I can plug my charge cable into my phone blindfolded with one tied behind my back.
Those charging mats take up way more space than an inconspicuous USB cord.
I have heard way too many complaints about loss of battery life and increased charge times due to the alternate charging method. This may have changed with recent versions, but it all still just seems such a pointless novelty.
I am all for technology for the sake of technology, but I just don't logically foresee this as a step forward.
Maybe using an inductive charging magnet on the end of a USB cord instead of the standard micro connection would make more sense. That way people could just snap it to their device quickly, b...

Calculators have been using light energy for years. Put that on a phone!
I'm going to make a example that you can understand less say you go to a coffee shop or a restaurant and as soon a you get it your phone start charging instead of using your better usb cord you wont need that, it we charge automatic and you wont need your usb changer to changer ur phone that offen like now, like you are complaing about battery life.this is such the beginning of something that will make your life easier, google it it will help your brain work little.
oh and about the ugly charging mat is going to be upgrade where it will better the same size as your back cover is such need time....

Love the car idea too, or better yet just put it in every main road: Cars will charge as they're driving to work or sitting in a parking space but retain the charge for off road stuff. I love the possibilities of wireless charging and I'm so glad to see it being introduced as a primary feature on a phone. Hopefully everyone follows suit.

Also consider that most people use their cell phone as their main phone, and do lots of other things on it, and want to use it as they walk around the house. Plugging it in when you get home, but then unplugging it to take a call, plugging it back in again... over time it can be a hassle.
And some people just don't like the "clutter" of cords. There's a booming market for charging stands/boxes that hide the chargers and cables, so clearly some people with carefully-decorated ...
