That's how any roll out goes, including WiMax.

You have to cover the cities first, then worry about rural.

Would you rather get LTE on a road TO your house, or AT your house?

You're right, 100 million covered (since december) isn't a noticeable footprint.

I don't buy into the hype of either large carrier. They try to sell me more coverage than I need. That is why I settle for the middleweights.

However,

This rollout is very aggressive and much credit needs to be given. Those that seek to have access to Verizon's LTE network, should be happy with the direction. This is nothing to sneeze at.
