To this day it still bothers me that Symbian was never, ever given a fair chance here in the U.S. Symbian is a fine OS.

Might be that I have never seen a CDMA Symbian phone, I read there was one once. But never actually seen one.

--this is how it works in the States. A product catches the public's eye, and a competing product bites the dust. Like BetaMax or HD-DVD.

You've just gotta sift through the fanboys and find what you like. Symbian is a terrific OS.

I looked up the specs to the C7, the 8MP camera !!ISN'T!! Auto-focus! That's extremely dissapointing. And subpar.

Nokia tends to have good camera technology. Even without the autofocus, it will still be pretty nice.

Plus I think at this price point and packaging(read it's too thin), a mechanical auto focus camera would not have been possible.

I remember reading quite a while back about a technology that uses water to focus resulting in thinner camera lenses.
But that technology hasnet yet madce it to market.
