Unbelievable. Do they plan to offer equivalent to those with G2's and myTouch 4G's that are only stocked witn 1700MHz 3G radios? Are they gonna just switch off everyone on T-Mo's 3G *cough* "4G" network just like that?

Most likely if it goes through April of next year, its going to be several months or a year before they'd move anyone off, by that time, you'd be upgraded. And thats even IF they still don't dual use AWS.

With other acquisitions, customers became immediately upgrade eligible. So, if someone has a G2 and wanted an Atrix, let's say, they could upgrade right away.

Good point, but to be honest, would rather have the G2, or Inspire then the Atrix, or whatever comes around this time next year.

If my understanding is correct ATT is going to make all ATT & Tmo towers dual-mode 700/1700 LTE.

And btw, I read an article on CNN that says ATT has it built into the $39Bln purchase price transitioning people off of the 1700 band. The next 18 months will be very, very interesting.

I'm sure those upgrade offers will be nice for those who have discount eligibility, but for those of us who pay the unsubsidised price for whatever reason, it won't be as pretty. I was considering an LG G2x/Star later this spring, but I want to get more than a year out of it.
