If it looks like, smells like, tastes like, sounds like and feels like choice is becoming a relic of the past, it is.
Corporate America shafts it again to the consumer without K-Y Jelly. 😲

I used to work in the international department at at&t so I know a little bit about the situation, and the fact is that in most countries there are only two or three major wireless carriers and they do fine.

I'm not particularly worried about it. Arguably eliminating one the weakest competitors strengthens competition.

Think about it: would the NBA be less competitive if they got rid of the Los Angeles Clippers...or more so?

Horrible analogy. The Lakers and Celtics have won thirty-three of the sixty-five NBA championships. By your logic we might as well get rid of all the other teams... HEY! Does that sound familiar to this AT&T Verizon rivalry to you?

In addition to that, most of the countries you speak of are socialist countries where the government has a lot more control over price and network availability. In the free-market economy that the US claims to the government tries its best to stay out of business to avoid losing millions of dollars in kick-backs and under the table payments per year.

In the end this will strip choice and reduce market freedom and that is exactly what ATT and Verizon want.
