Say bye bye to any new phones for a year, what manufacturer would make a new a new phone for a company that's just hanging in limbo till they get merged with someone else? Maybe a couple boring flip phones, but i really don't see any cool smart phones in the future

I don't see why not, it's not like the phones are going to suddenly stop working when at&t takes over....this is quite different than when Altell properties were acquired by at&t and Altell customers had to ditch their old equipment to get an at&t phone, T-Mobile customers should not have any difficulty using the same equipment.

Exactly and figure it would be another year or so before they even do anything with AWS that it would be unusable on former TMO AWS phones.

You don't? AT&T will not use AWS for 3G. Why would anyone build handsets for the current T-Mobile 3G when AT&T will just call them in to be destroyed like those Electric Cars in Arizona?

It will take at least a year, and probably closer to 2 years, to get government approval, and then another year to 2 years to combine the networks....and by that time everyone will already have their 5G networks rolled out and 3G won't even be a concern.


You all are acting like this is gonna be a done deal in a day or two.
