Black people in the civil rights movement, womens sufferage, slaves, the original colonists
They all had it SOOOO easy compared to the AT&T customers getting stomped all over with this tethering business.

I dunno... I see it both ways. If I pay for "unlimited data", I think I should get unlimited data. Even if it's tethering. It's not like most people who tether are downloading 100's of blurays... they are sending and receiving emails. So, I don't agree with charging $30 per month just to have the other COM port on my phone activated. Especially, if the phone I'm using has the native ability to do it without paying for it from the carrier. These companies make enough money just on the original data charge... so the extra tethering charge is just ridiculous in my opinion.
"Power to the people".... and whatnot.
...
Not enough data to go around for everyone. ATT will just keep raising prices as more people jump on the network they have to. Those who pay will have access to the data.
...
That's why customers should go with Sprint. They have enough data for everyone.

If people aren't downloading tons of blu rays and music while tethering, why would they be worried about 4 GB of usage? The 30.00 data unlimited never included tethering. They used to charge 60.00 for unlimited data on the phone, and 5 GB for tethering. It just makes me laugh how people are saying, "WHATTT?? I HAVE TO FOLLOW THE RULES OF MY PROVIDER?? NOOOOO!!!" Trust me, no one cares if you cancel your service, you're just another number to the company. So basically, either play by the rules, or don't play at all. Either way, AT&T will survive without those breaking the rules and pitching hissy fits.
I wonder if the OP is Pickles from the Progressive Insurance commercials?? ๐คจ

I can already see the people jumping from the city in the clouds that is ATT. They are wearing parachutes with Sprint logos! ๐คฃ
They land safely in the land of unlimited data and they lived happily ever after. The End. ๐

They'll be back... They allllllways come back ๐

Sprint wants you to pay for tethering as well (30 a month, though it IS unlimited)
The problem is that a very small percentage of users consume a ton of the total bandwidth of the network. In some of the articles referencing this change, the number was 3% of users consumed 40% of the TOTAL data in a month. Getting emails is one thing, but there are people who use their devices as a replacement for home internet, streaming netflix and downloading torrents.
Yes, you're paying for unlimited data, but the pricing of that data plan is contingent on using it only on the device. If you could use it however you wanted, it wouldn't be priced at 30. It's like buying a "unlimited" pool pass for yourself and then inviting all of your friends...
