I'm sure most people must not be like you & don't have the several hours necessary to read through legalese that an army of AT&T lawyers drafted up to avoid them having to invest in their network & stack the deck against customers.

You signed an agreement saying you wouldn't do it.

WHO is doing something that isn't right?

And on top of that, all of the major carriers have similar agreements on tethering. Just AT&T loves to distribute bad press.

Do I think tethering, well reasonable tethering should be included, yes. But it ain't. I knew it going in.

This may be true but that doesn't make it the carrier's fault. I beat most people don't read their loan agreement when they get a Car or even a house. OMG that is several pages to read there.

Well, most people here are savy to what carriers do and don't allow. Most people who go in, just get a phone, make calls, do a little texting, maybe some browsing. It would never occur to them to tether. In some ways, they're smart, never run into issues, and just use what they have. Its somewhat hard for me to argue to say AT&T's right, when I feel this should be allowed. But such as it is. it isn't.

BTW, I just use a VM Mifi when I need data on the run. It ain't great, it doesn't sux either, and only pay for the month when I need it.

Actually, would be cheaper to tether an Android LG Optimus V with VM on their $25 "unlimited" data/text plan than to pay them $40 or $50 for their "unlimited" broadband2go rip-offs with 3G capped at 5GB or 2.5GB. It works....been there, done that, got that t-shirt. lol
