My 2 cents...

My own personal opinion is that he was asked to step down. That is usually the case when a CEO steps down for "personal reasons".
While the guy was a pioneer, it comes down to the ol' Paula Abdul: What have you done for me lately?
He has made a few choices (as well as non-choices) that have him looking like a chump.
I don't know if Sprint had a hand in forcing his resignation but it wouldn't surprise me. Sprint is doing pretty well in the eye of the public these days so I can see them raising a stink over its partner looking pretty poor.
I don't believe that this is bad for Clear though. Getting a new ceo can often be a good thing. Just look what Hesse was able to do...

Other key members of rank have also left. The ongoing feud with the parent company, is undoubtedly weighing in heavily from pressure.

As with any business, both CEOs have tried to remain eloquent in professional respect to each other. Sprint is in a position to move forward. The weakest link of the chain has become another albatross around the neck. I don't know the future of Clearwire, but I do know that eliminating dead weight will allow Sprint to move forward with their directive. There can't be any delay in the outline.

So I'm not looking at this as a Clearwire failure. I'm looking at this as a move forward for Sprint.

I agree. Although, I don't believe Sprint would have to dump Clear. I think we are seeing a restructuring of Clear to suit Sprint's needs.

My thoughts almost exactly. Rather a cheaper takeover.

Dan and his team are not dumb. Dan was extremely instrumental at the apogee of ATT's life. And no Apple product was needed to reach this pinnacle.
