"Ponzi Scheme" and WiMax Rollout : Get on the lifeboat before this ship sinks.

This one is a gimme. I'll avoid laughing at the idiots who said the EVO was superior to the iPhone because it ran on the 'superior' WiMax network despite horrendous real world performance. I'll avoid laughing at the fact that every WiMax venture prior to ClearWire was labeled as a ponzi scheme (Internafta, GlobeTel, etc.) I'll avoid the fact I straight-up said Clearwire's financials were doomed from the start.

If you bought an Evo, enjoy your very slow 3G phone and the extra $120.00 you pay per year for a network you can't use.

If you're on Sprint, I'd strong recommend getting on one of the lifeboats before this ship sinks. (Verizon has unlimited plans for now.) Your rates are going to go up and your phones are going to conti...

Lifeboat not need there, Sprint is smart enough to let Clear die on its own and then buy up the hardware at liquidation for reuse as firmware updated LTE hardware.

Clear may go under but Sprint's going nowhere.

This is funny 🤣 considering the fact that I have an EVO get better 3G coverage then AT&T and have access to WIMAX in a market that T-mobile does not even have 3G and avg less then 100K speed. Not to mention when I tether my EVO to my AT&T company lap top my speeds are at least 50% faster. It's not safe to make assumptions on a little bad press especially when you have no clue what your talking about. I've had Sprint for about a year now and I'm more then willing to pay the extra $ for better coverage and unrestricted usage. Note WIMAX is in more places then is mapped on Sprints web site.

That's just it! You are actually paying less for the EVO's plan than you would for even less featues with ATT or VZW! Somehow these scheister sales people from these companies convince customers that they would pay more by going with Sprint using this "120 per year argument". Nevermind the fact that it's still cheaper and offers more....

Why would I get off the sinking ship... Well I am happy with sprint and will continue to be happy with them. I have had At&t, verizon, and sprint and as far as I am concerned verizon has been the worst of the three. I am happy to have dumped verizon and there slow data speeds for two better networks...oh btw verizon doesn't work at my house can you update your coverage map for that one. The evo is better then the iPhone, not because of wimax it's better because you can actual make calls from it and use it to do other thing unlike the iphone.

Good post! ! !

Verizon is way, way overrated. Heck, Verizon uses the same exact technology as Sprint CDMA Rev.A and yet somehow Verizon CLAIMS they are so, so, so reliable. Advertisements and reality are 2 very, very different things. Verizon overhypes themselves.

I will probably continue to take Verizon into consideration though because of how appealing the 700mhz frequency is!

You know, at first I was excited about the 700mhz LTE option. But after looking at the numbers, Verizon has a decent amount of 700 but ATT 700 spectrum holdings are in the toilet. Even with both of their networks combined for roaming, it's still not very big and this could limit the coverage and capacity. I will say that what I have seen with VZW's LTE is pretty impressive. I was not too thrilled withe the usb dongle, but I was lucky enough to play with the Thunderbolt. It is very fast. It's also the 1st EVO killer. I just hope that VZW's speed can keep up when it get hits with a barrage of its own 4G customers.

That is true.

So let's follow that logic.
The McDouble is the best selling hamburger in the US.
That means it's the best.
Whoa... That didn't work!

DVDs outsell Blu-Ray.
That means DVDs are better.
Whoa! That didn't work either!

What's going on here?

Oh wait... the best rated burger is the very popular and also "successful" In-n-out burger.

Blu-Ray is also very successful but it doesn't take a genius to know is superior to DVD even though they under sell them.

The EVO is also a very successful phone. It gets rated above every iphone made...

If success alone makes something "superior".... then the Nokia 3595 manhandles every phone ever made.

I am not a big Sprint fan(thanks to DP and CamelTowing), but I don't think that this lawsuit is gonna do anything to Sprint. Sprint has been considering LTE for a while and is ready to switch at any moment. WiMax may suffer and even go away, but Dan Hesse is no fool, misguided at times, but no fool. I believe this will be one more wallet in the LTE market thus forcing a 4G standard and making it cheaper for all. Even if Clear survives the lawsuit, it will lose support. A slow death.

You're not a Sprint fan because of me? 🤣
That is the effing most retarded statement I've heard in years.
Do we really need to look at your posting record to know that's a lie? You were a hatin' ass fool long before I ever shot down any of your nonsensical banter.
You tend to put your foot in your mouth a lot because you speak from what you want rather than what is...
Nothing gets under one's skin like finding out something you thought was inferior to your favorite thing was actually better.
I'm glad that you are at least admit that you are a hater. It will at least put you on the path to get the f%^& over it.

And again(surprisingly! 🙄 )you are wrong.
What benefit is it to go LTE at this point? Even if they switch, then ...

I'm a hater of the way you and DP address people on here. Your statement of me hating Sprint before you ever "shot down" anything I've said is a joke. I've never been on Sprint's network and I just started in the industry in September. That would also be when I started looking at this sight. However, I started noticing how both of you post hate and insults to ANYONE that disagrees with you and your Sprint cheers. DP will start a trolling blog in VZW forums and shortly you will jump in, neither of you with anything valuable to say, just comments like, "That is the effing most retarded statement I've heard in years." or ,"You were a hatin' ass fool..." or ,"It will at least put you on the path to get the f%^& over it." I have had disagreements...

Unfortunately, reality doesn't vibe with this deep dark fantasy of yours.
1st of all, please provide the links or evidence of me "jumping in to troll the vzw forums with dp".
It never happened. I don't post in those forums. Hell I RARELY comment in the Sprint forum. I comment almost entirely on Sprint related news articles... MOST of which are being trolled by you, cellstudent, and bluecoyote.
This has nothing to do with any of these absurd accusations you are laying at my feet. It has to do with the fact that most of your opinions have been and will continue to be based on fantasy and not fact. If you really need me to we can go back and pull up the posts where I made you look a fool because what you were saying wasn't true and you cou...
