Highly Unlikely...

Yet again another rumor, maybe after 4 years they will get it right like the verizon iPhone. Not really in the best interest of any company and being that DT likes to be in control of combined entities like Orange in the UK its highly probable they will be in control if such an entity were to be created. Only good thing about this is they would basically own clearwire as well and wouldnt need to go through the headaches of leasing or buying spiectrum while increasing overall coverage. 😎

I agree. DT is trying to squeeze their way into having a controlling interest in a much larger company. They aren't so desperate to ditch tmobile for anything but an incredibly high price. Either in cash or in control of Sprint. It's a no go.

No way Spring gives them equal voice and if they take less they will be just like Vodaphone in the VZW entity. 45% still equals no voice.

which is why they will not settle for 50% or more in their stake, I doubt they will give up control of the us entity since it may get to the point where verizon is as that the dont pay out dividends to investors. DT Investors want returns on their investments, DT sees TMobile USA as a cash cow. They wont settle for less.

In that case...this won't happen. This may be another ploy to raise their stock price. Sprint would be foolish to give up total control.

Both entities are better off on their own until a more feasible joint venture can be achieved, ie sprints interest in moving to LTE, if tmobile buys clearwire spectrum they would be on the same fequencies and hence perfect partners in crime.

That could be the good deal for Sprint. If Sprint and T-Mo were thinking of a partnership and moving together to LTE, and T-Mo may be thinking of partnering with Clearwire, so if T-Mo bought Clearwire and partnered with Sprint it would leave the full control to Sprint and T-Mo and solve the Clearwire issues.
