Just make the switch Sprint. WiMax sucks, unless your right under a WiMax tower. Plus having to turn a 4G radio on/off in your cell phone, which can take up to a minute kind of defeats the purpose.
I do like Sprint's comment on making even more improvements to their 3G network.
As for selling TMO their 2.5 Ghz spectrum I don't think TMO is interested. I think there going to concentrate on milking the quasi 4G lead for now.

I've never had my 4G switch whether close to or far away from take longer than about 30 seconds.

Just sayin'

I've never been right under a wimax tower and I get awesome speeds. Do you have the Evo or the Epic? The Epic takes about 10sec or less to connect to 4g you will see the pulse move 8 times and then it will say connected or disconnected and try again. If your in your home the signal will be stronger near windows. If you live in a 4g area you should see faster speeds on the go.

Too funny!
If your in your home the signal will be stronger near windows.

My point exactly!
If you live in a 4g area you should see faster speeds on the go

If you live in a 4g area you should see faster speeds on the go as long as it's not windy, raining, snowing, and you're standing on the roof of your car.

It seems like their going to take HSPA+ as far as technologically possible. 42mb/s soon. And a little bit ago there was an article about Tmo taking HSPA well beyond 42mb/s.

Yeah idk... they already started to deploy the 42mbps so i guess it'll depend on how fast they roll that out. Hopefully, I'm thinking January 2012 but a lot can change by then. Heck, they might just skip that and go with lte by then. Who knows?

Isn't 42 only available on a very, very limited basis so far? Besides, the very soonest probably won't be until the 4th qtr of this yr that 42mb/s smartphones are available on the market.

Man, the first qtr of next yr is going to be very, very interesting!!!

Hmm, I live in Las Vegas, how bout that! Does Tmo even have any usb modems that can take advantage of 42mb/s?

I will probably consider Tmo. Once they have a smartphone on the market that can take advantage of 42mb/s.

Man, the next 18 months sure are going to be very, very interesting.

No usb connections yet..but should have one out this year for sure. But the one now maxs at 21mbps and i heard from a guy earlier in vegas it does see a higher average speed on his g2 now in las vegas. Phone wise there is always the galaxy 4g were its theortical max is 21mbps. Its going to be a very interesting year for all providers i think.

Who cares what they raise it to. Theoretical limits are meaningless. You're lucky even now if you see what? 9M or so at my last check in the T mobile store here in Philly. Too bad next door (literally) at Verizon the LTE air card came out at 22, 26 and 24m in 3 separate checks.

I could careless what tmobile post because the speeds they advertise cant hold water. I'm still waiting to see one person hit 21mbs on tmobile. Since the Vibrant 4g can do this theoretically I'd like to see a video of this in action or any of there other 4g phones get 14.4mbs.
