makes perfect sense to me. they HAD to have an unlimited plan at launch, to tempt at&t customers who were already unhappy to begin with to jump ship to the greener grass at vzw. i dunno what you do for a living but i hope it's not anything to do with business or economics

It was a short term advertising effort to increase holiday sales. The equivalent of Comcast give six months at a decent price and then fleecing for the other 18 months of the service contract.
