I like to see verizon doing something that another Company, Sprint, did over a year ago.
And they think they are going to get 300-500 Kbps out of it? Whatever. To make matters worse, they have a smaller digital network than T-Mobile. So where is the smart choice? 🤣

Verizon's network is all digital. It's already been proven to be at 300-500k in DC and San Deigo. Do you get out much?

To counter: Verizon's company owned network is all digital and much larger than T-Mobile's network. Even T-Mobile representatives at our local mall concede this point. And Sprint's network cannot match 300-500 kbps. Their current technology is similar to Verizon, bursting up to 144 kbps. It would be nice to see the system deployed so that we can start to see video clips and other files transmitted via phone. Of course, the phones have to make it out of testing first and that is a different story...

by the time Verizon gets enough handsets and ev-do out nationwide Sprint will soon have ev-dv deploying which will blow ev-do away.

Virgin Mobile is part of Sprint and they had more activations then Sprint in the 4th quarter of 2003. If you tell me, prepaid can be profitable but it's non contractual and that is not steady income. Check financial reports, Sprint is losing tons of money. They are negative in cash flow. Watch TV, I am seeing less and less of that annoying Sprint guy which goes to show....they have no money to advertise. Also, the main reason that they came out with night and weekends starting at 7 is because they were trying to keep their customers from porting their numbers out to better carriers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, Cingular, etc. This advertisement conveniently came out during the time that LNP was launching.
