Graphics suck. UI lousy. Google maps newer version is way better. Mapquest...where have you been? You are five years to late coming to the dance. Stick with Google. Their navigator is terrific...taught me all about my new city in two days.

no, i refuse to use google navigation! when on freeway, google navigation will say "Take exit 56 for highway 80". WTF! when you driving, you want to look at screen the less the better. why this garbage about "take exit 56" for highway 80. why cant they just tell me to take highway 80 without the garbage "take exit 56".

why not some people might not know highway 80 is off of exit 56..

whats wrong with that if it speaks to you.. and it doesnt take much longer to read 3 more words

not a good point you tried to make

Because "take highway 80" tells you nothing about when the exit is coming (especially when the first exit is for highway 80 south and the second is for highway 80 north.) The exit number tells you how many exits to pass before your exit. On top of that, some street names will be pronounced wrong by the computer voice which can be even more confusing.

IMO the exit number is a much better system to use for navigation, but to each their own. You really can't complain about a free service though.

i guess you kids dont drive yet? hahaha
when you on freeway, it will says highway (80 N) or highway (80 S) in 2 miles. you will never see a sign that said "exit 65" in 2 miles. by the time you see the sign "exit 65", it might be too late when you on fast lane (on a freeway with 4 or 5 lanes) and wont able to make the exit.

You may not see a sign that says exit 65 in 2 miles but you will see the one that says you are at exit 63 now and that will let you know that you pass 1 more exit before your exit comes. What is so hard about that? If you are taking exit 65 and you just passed exit 64 in the fast lane you probably aren't paying much attention and shouldn't be on the road anyways.

Unless you are a typical brainless idiot at whom I honk every single morning when I see him do stupid **** on the road, you should not be in the fast lane 4-5 lanes away from the right side if you are looking for a particular exit. you should be in the right lane where most people preparing to exit would be.

LOL I didn't say no one DOES that, just that you SHOULDN'T be in the fast lane looking for your exit. On a 2 lane freeway, that is somewhat acceptable I guess, but when there are 3 or more lanes you should at the very least be within the 2 left-most lanes when you're looking for your exit. My favorite is the people that feel the need to be in the fast lane and go the exact same speed as the person beside them or that hang out in the fast lane going 10 under the speed limit when there is no one in any of the other lanes ๐Ÿคจ

How are you being forced to do so? I never said that you had to use Google Navigation I just said not to complain considering its a free service... Just be glad Google gave you the option to use it. Besides, Google Navigation will tell you that your exit is in 2 miles even, if it only tells you the exit number, so you know that at that point you need to move towards the left lanes to be ready to exit. Sounds like YOU haven't been driving long enough to figure these things out.
