Did they not mention which carrier(s) we can expect these devices to appear on?
I believe the Optimus 2X & 3D are GSM devices...but, did they mention if there will be any CDMA variants?

That's not something companies usually talk about at an event like this.
LG isn't known for bringing their flagship phones to the US market. That may change, but I would guess they'll have a different name, at least, the way the Optimus Pad is called the G-Slate for T-Mobile.
They're definitely not known for bringing GSM designs to CDMA. CDMA is usually a completely separate product pipeline with LG.
Either way, no, no carrier news to share.
