If verizon can't even have the software fixed before their launch they dont deserve the iphone. ATT never let their iphone have outdated software.

You do recall the launch of the ip4 don't you? I believe there was a major antenna issue? oh and there weren't several bugs that required updates after at&t launched it? ๐Ÿคจ

Yeah that wasn't my point. My response was sarcastic. ๐Ÿ˜‰
The previous poster said at&ts ip4 was better than Verizon's because Verizon has already pushed out an update and at&t didn't let it launch with flaws. I was saying that at&t did let it launch with flaws too. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Apple launched AT&T's iphone so any software issues were apples responsibility, but verizon wanted to have hotspot so it was their responsibilty to make it work

If Verizon asks apple to add a feature and apple messes it up how is that Verizon's fault?

I agree, Apple's software, Apple's resaponsibility.

This supposed update is probably to add Verizons throttle controls for data usage. In efforts to control those they believe are using data more than others.

Because Verizon has engineers that can code that feature. Apple is not responsible for a feature request from a carrier.

Yeah so, how is it that you know Verizon messed it up.
Do you work as an engineer for Apple that worked directly on this feature? No, your not.
Do you remember when the ip4 came out, apple said they got the formula wrong for the signal bars. I believe the issue was that the signal bars lied and showed that the i-phones were getting more bars than they actually were.
BTW Apple, pushed out an update for that after the release of the ip4 to fix that "bug".
๐Ÿ˜
Again your post was pointless and made no sense. I'm sorry but its true.

First of all, that antenna issue only affected a small percentage of customers. And if you hold certain phones a certain way, they will loose signal. Verizon's iP4 already has a death grip called the death hug. And name me ONE smartphone that has never needed an update after launch to fix a bug.

If you ask me, and that's only if you ask... I think Androind needs a major overhaul.

Every smart phone that is released by every company has issues. None of them are perfect. That's just what I've realized after working the last two years as a dealer. Android As of late works amazing; however, Windows mobile, Rim, and Symbian need a major overhaul.

So does iOS. It's had the same tired look for years

I guess my biggest gripe with Android is that Google starts working on the next version before they release the previous version. Some of our phones have 2.2, some have 2.1, and now Google is releasing 2.3? To me it just seems that Google is trying to keep their head above water in competing with Apple.

And regarding iOS, why fix it if it ain't broken? lol

Samsung Galaxy S may not be the best example. you DID hear about the GPS issue it had for several months after its release right?

To my knowledge that issue still hasn't been fully resolved, but at least its working now.

Of course, all platforms do this, if Apple did nothing to fix a problem, people bitch, if they do something, they get harangued over doing it. And you can included several other brands into my comment. Fixing an issue with a product quickly is a good thing.

The problem is that all this update does is allow Verizon to accurately count the amount of data a person is using via their Hotspot, A non-issue for the end user. When someone criticizes that and then you allow yourself to get dragged into a debate. Or let me put it this way.

If I see a pig wallowing in the mud. I'm not going to join him. If I were to do so then onlookers would just see two pigs wallowing in the mud.

First of all i knew what the problem was and there was no debate.
The only reason why i kept posting was because i sit at a computer for 8 hours, and yesterday was boring.
Lastly If you and whoever else don't like watching pigs play in the mud then don't watch. ๐Ÿ˜‰
I guess you must have just been as bored as i was yesterday. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
