they've never been able to say this. Tmobile (or any other GSM carrier with 3g) can also make the same claim. It's not something exlcusive to ma bell

that number was made up by an investment firm and posted by clickbait reports, I mean BGR. an investment firm predicted google would sell 15 million nexus one's. They're just numbers, with only slim basis in reality.

Nope. They're not giving the phone to indirects. The only stores with it tomorrow will be Corp stores, Best Buy, and Select walmarts.

I swear, there are always these really weird rules that ONLY apply to the Iphone. The more distribution channels the more get sold, duh! Frinkin Apple is weird!

That's true but Apple's business model is not really based on selling a large number of product, but on selling a small number of products to a select group of people at grossly inflated profit margins.

I thought it was weird that when AT&T was being pressed by that Map for That campaign it was Apple who had the best response with those surf and talk commercials.

The retarded thing? AT&T's data network is faster. Surprise! AT&T's coverage is just as thorough as Verizon's. Surprise! If people would only bother to read a little.

So this network they've been talking about for 2 years, which has been "up and running" for months, has now had a TEST call made? And let me get this straight, it's predicted to be functioning in 2 more years? Now that doesn't mean they will offer any hand sets yet, just that the network is ready. Color me impressed.

So, let me get something else straight... this network which is supposedly built out and covering soooo many millions of people already in so many markets (in their ads at least) and has no voice calls working on it, has no plan, no matter what the price that offers unlimited data and it is just sitting there virtually unused. Something is fishy here. It doesn't add up.

Meanwhile, in every ad they run, there's the phrase ...

We really don't need VoLTE until Verizon starts shutting down older technology like the 2G network. We can make plenty of calls just fine on 1xRTT and EVDO.

It has never been about 'talking about surfing the web at the same time' it is about being able to receive a call while using applications or data. Suppose a call comes through when you are using Pandora, if you are on a GSM network, Pandora shuts off and you hear the ring, if you are using Verizon or another CDMA network, the call gets routed to voicemail. THAT is the real issues.

And at&t never said that they were the only network that could do that, they said specifically that it was something one could do on at&t that one cannot do on Verizon, not 'all other carriers' but Verizon specifically.

Not true......... I have CDMA and when I use Pandora and get a phone call my Pandora stops and the phone call comes through. Phone calls get priority over data, not a real big deal for me. Not worth whining about, at least I can hold a conversation without dropping my calls.

It was like that when I had my Curve. Pandora or Moodio (YourMuze) would just stop when a call came in.

My Droid pauses Pandora when I get a phone call and my phone rings just fine. Please don't make things up that aren't true and post them on the Internet, this industry is confusing enough already.

Get your facts straight. Even on my old Motorola W755 if I was on the internet and got a call it switches over to 1X and the call comes through. Your calls don't get routed to voicemail just because you were using 3G when the call came in. On my Eris I can even start loading a page and switch to my messaging app and send a message while it is still loading the page.

The only thing this effects is if you want to use the web while on a call. If you can't afford to receive an email 5 minutes late because you were on a call then CDMA is not for you. For the vast majority of people, including most of the people on here, it doesn't effect them at all.

As I have said before, IMO it's rude in most cases to be checking emails or browsing the w...
