One of the problems Sprint has always had an issue with, is marketing. VZW and ATT have excelled in this category. Business is built on hype. Sprint did a great thing here and they need to keep this going while adding to it.
Why is it so bad to create an interest in a product? Look how everyone was waiting to see what Sprint had to announce. Even if the product or news wasn't what some expected, it did bring a new breakthrough product to light. Goal reached.
I'm not sure how Sprint is labeling this device, but if I were to take a guess, it is more of an innovation push rather than flagship. If my memory serves me correctly, Sprint usually pushes their flagship devices at CTIA. So I don't think we've heard the last of Sprint's next big thing.
